Featherdale Wildlife Park is an absolutely absorbing experience and one that many of our international visitors have not heard of.Its is a Zoo that is situated 45 mins west of the Sydney CBD. Its not overly large and as such, it has that great personal feel, allows far more interaction than the big time zoos such as Taronga Park Zoo and is a delightful day trip for all.There website can be viewed here.Some basic information from their website regards opening times etc.

I've been there a couple of times - it's not too far from where we live - and it's a great place to take children to. It's fairly small as far as zoos go, but for children of primary school age, something like Taronga Zoo is too big and tiring and Featherdale is just the right size.
