Yes, I got a new job as receptionist/ administration clerk with a recruitment agency and after 4 days, they realised they couldn't afford to keep me on, so they let me go.

Being a recruitment agency, their function was to help employers find suitable candidates for jobs, and as employers have slowed down recruiting to try to cut costs, it meant they weren't getting any commissions from the employers and employers cut some of the jobs that were also paying commissions.
