Default Taxi "love" tap

I had a taxi give me a little tap in the behind the other day. Just enough to push me forward a foot or so.

We both stopped and got out. The taxi driver looked at my bumper and said "No damage, no damage" ignoring the 50c coin sized star that he had just marked.

The he got back into his cab and drove off. No license produced.

I reported him to the police but nothing has happened so far.

What are you expecting to happen? Did you also try calling the taxi company?

Exclamation maybee he was an unregisterd cabbie

That sounds like a hit and run. It is sometimes impossible to track down a cabbie who sub leases a taxi because they aren't registered. The cabbie who leases the cab can then sub lease's the cab (it is illegal) and take a day off while still making somthing out of it. I hate to think how many unregistered taxi drivers are on the roads these days.

Default Reported to police...

I did report the matter to the local police. They told me to call back in a few weeks, and I did. No progress.
I will call again in a few days and see what happens.

Default Progress...

Finally the girl who answered the phone at my local Police Station took pity on my and told me it was being handled by another station.
She gave me the phone number of the station, the name of the constable handling the matter and the COPS event number.
I rang but the constable is not available till tomorrow night.
