Yes, true. The whole forum is slow to getting started. Of course, I haven't spent any time trying to market it. Most people find it through Google. I know a lot of people prefer sites like Facebook. Any tips on how I could market the site better would be appreciated.

Found the forum on Google too. Maybe you can try joining other Sydney/Australian based forums and build relationships there then invite people to sign up here. Mike you can also check this Marketing forum (How to market a Forum?). Read a few posts and the thread seems to answer your question.
