And, on the subject of King Street, Newtown, if you're there in the evening or at night, have a look at the lights that are suspended from the awnings of the shops - in the daytime they look white, but at night they keep changing colour.

Yes, but I have yet to see cruise ships sailing through Newtown. I don't think global warming has got to the stage yet where that is possible.

If you are in new town, try the Newtown thai restaurants. There are three of them along King st.
We often eat Pad See Eew at Newtown Thai 2, it is the one closer to the uni near City Road.

Also there is a good Vietnamese restaurant called thanh binh.

Honestly anywhere is good on King st.

I agree. If someone can't find a decent place to eat on King Street, Newtown, there's something wrong with them...
