Leaving the UK for Sydney

Hi there,

My long-term boyfriend and I are upping sticks from the UK and coming to stay in Sydney for 3 months to 'test' living and working in the area until Feb 2012. We're hoping to find somewhere to stay in Coogee - can people recommend suitable places??

We're also pretty certain of coming over for 3-4 years as of June 2012, so it would be useful to get any tips and tricks of living and working in Sydney from either locals or people who've made/making the move 'down under'.
