For your information Melbournes transport system isnt that great due to the rise in non-White crime and in particular that of the Sudanese filth that has been allowed into this country.

If you live anywhere outside of inner-city Melbourne, you will probably need a car. If you are living in inner city areas like Richmond, Hawthorn, South Yarra, you could probably get by without a car if you work locally or in the CBD. Realestate is a little cheaper in Melbourne.

Trams are ok, but they can be slow in peak hours and not too reliable if you need to get to work on time.

Default A differing view

In my opinion what makes Australia such a great place is the secular nature of our system, and not having a majority of any culture, just adds to the exotic nature of the countries flavor.

Like everything in nature the culture evolves and changes, such is the nature of language, technology, science and life in general. Those who don't evolve become extinct, this is the natural law.

Extinction is the rule, evolution is the exception.

What I am saying is that arrogant people who are unable to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment will fade into history taking their mentality with them.

Whether people come to this country as immigrants or people who have established blood lines here and have a ridgid value system, the next generation will either carry your ideas or shed them in an attempt to grow, I think it would be the later.

From experience education leads to tollerance because one realises that despite all our cultural differences our values are all the same. Australia is much ritcher because of the european influences, and the Gene pool has diversified somewhat, the more people that come here the more diverse and beutiful our nation will be.

On the other hand...

I have conributed to this country for many years as an Technology Engineer, unfortunaty we aren't valuing our educated peers and it is that attitude that makes Australia a shitty country, because everyone who is worth their salt goes elsewhere to make money. It is the Australian way to go overseas and make a career. It is the Aussie way to take without giving back, these are the values that we impose on children these days...
Though this too will change...
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Sidewinder seems to be suggesting that Australia should be restricted to white people alone, this would only make Australia as bad as Saudi Arabia. The people would end up being just as isolated, bigoted and violent. Please do not attack me on this, I have been there, lived and worked there and I know what it is like.
Give me a break. Dont compare White Australians to arab-muslims. What an insult.

Australia was a Christian country that was doing just fine until the traitors Whitlam, Grasby and Hawke had their way.

Quote:
But I fully understand Sidewinder's anguish and point (I am neither white nor was I born and raised in Australia). Australia is what it is today based on a core set of values and principles. Every country has them. If these basic values get eroded over time, the geographic and political Australia will continue to exist, but it will no longer be the nation it was envisioned to be by the founders. Again I agree with Sidewinder about not getting into the "aboriginals blood spilled" argument. Appalling as it was, it is over and it is time to move one. Australia today is what it is primarily because of the vision and work of predominantly white "european" settlers. They did come from various countries perhaps, with various backgrounds but they all adopted a common set of principles and values that lead to nation building.

It is my humble view that whoever comes to Australia must first strive to understand and accept those values and adopt them (if they have not already done so). Freedom of religion and all is fine, but it should not override the cultural foundation on which this nation was built. We do not see many people migrating to Somalia or Nigeria, or to that matter even powerfully growing economies like India or China. But we must accept that for whatever reason, Australia has succeeded in establishing a standard of life that surpasses the standards of hundreds of other countries, and this is in my view, a direct result of the vision and hard work of the founding fathers of this nation. Every culture has some rich values and wisdom, but people of some choose to live by them and that is what makes the difference.
Fair enough.

My point is that when someone comes to Australia, they should first understand what makes this nation so great, and accept that they came here to give themselves a better life. True, they also contribute taxes and intelligence, but they did choose to make a move to this place because a lot of work has already been done. There is nothing wrong with Sidewinder being sentimentally being attached to something that was achieved after generations of hard work (though Sidewinder has taken it a couple of notches higher than most would like) and those of us who arrive here must respect that.
Amen.

Quote:
India and Britain have lately been overly favorable to the islamic community and in India the muslims have a separate law (like men can have 4 wives and need not pay alimony to divorces wives, no formal procedure for divorcing a spouse etc) and it sucks. There are many non-bailable arrest warrants issued by the supreme court against the Imam of New Delhi but no one has the guts to implement those warrants and arrest him. Thus the very laws passed by Parliament are openly flouted and it is only a matter of time before the system collapses.
Britain is lost.

Quote:
Australia, USA etc have a much better standard of life because by and large, the majority of the people respect the law. They may disagree with it, but they accept it and their disagreement is expressed in a parliamentary way. When was the last time hordes of Australians ran amuck on the streets setting buses on fire, destroying public and private property, with a major political party openly supporting it and everyone going about their jobs the next day as if nothing happened? If people do not fight for the laws to be kept, then will Australia continue being as safe as it is today?

We must understand that Australia citizenship and/or residency is a privilege and an honor, something that we chose to accept over and above our citizenship by birth. So preserving its very basic principles and fighting for them is our moral and legal responsibility. But when we override them with the same practises and attitude that have prevented us from making our own countries worth sticking on to, then Australia will also take a downward turn.
We have already taken a down turn. Its called socialism and INTERDEPENDENCY.

Lets accept facts as facts. Many immigrants enjoy the benefits but never actually give back. They only fight for their rights to practise their culture but never realize that by doing so, they are overriding others'. The concept of "My freedom ends where my neighbor's nose begins" is totally forgotten. None of these can be good.
Hit the nail on the head with that one.

You people need to know something about multiculturalism.

You see multiculturalism was bought in under a false pretense. And the Australian people back in the 70s and 80s were lied to by bob hawke and others. As ive said before we have multiracialism not multiculturalism.

Anyway lets put the race topic away for a moment.

What people don’t understand is that ideologies like feminism, globalization, multiculturalism, ‘free trade’, ‘equality’ etc… are all bogus. And they haven’t come about in a random fashion either.
All these things were planned to come about when they did for a specific reason.

For instance, feminism was created by the owners of the Chase-Manhattan Bank in New York; the Rockerfellas. The Rockerfellas are ‘globalists’ or ‘internationalists’ and therefore don’t care about nationalism and national borders.
Their aim was to get all the women in the U.S. into the workforce. Back in those days America was very much a true Christian country so women did what women are supposed to do and that’s give birth and help nurture the children and create a decent household environment. This meant most women were not working as such, they were at home doing what nature intended.
Anyhow, the Rockerfellas along with the media networks promoted Feminism and ‘womens rights’. This lead to thousands upon thousands of women eventually going into the workforce. And that in itself lead to the creation of Day Care Centres.

What this meant to the globalists was that virtually everyone in the US would be on the tax system and therefore the government had a system that collected information on almost everyone. And further more it meant that eventually the government would be able to control the minds of children at a young age. Typical Communist-Socialist type activity. And this is exactly what has happened. And its now spread all around the developed world.
The Rockerfellas did this on behalf of the particular group of people they belonged to, called the Global Elite.

You see our politicians here in Australia do not pay allegiance to the people of Australia.
They pay allegiance to a higher power. They pay allegiance to the Global Elite.
The Global Elite are the international bankers, many people belonging to the royal families of Europe, ALL the aristocratic families of North America and Europe and every billionare on the planet. And they are ruling this world RIGHT NOW. Including Australia.

Feminism along with all the other false ideologies are in existence because of them.

ALL major events that have occurred over the past 200 or so years is because of them.
The American Revolution, The French Revolution, The Russian Bolshevik Revolution, the explorers like Coloumbus and Cook got their marching orders from the Global Elite,
The sinking of the Tittanic and Lucitania was because of them. The World Wars and their outcomes was because of them. The JFK assassination, Waco Texas, the Vietnam War, The first Gulf War, 9/11 you name it, all the major events in the world are because of the Global Elite.

The rising food costs and petrol prices also is because of them. They own the worlds five major food companies as well as the oil companies. And the coming World War will also be because of them.

And they are doing it because they want to create a One World Government.
This grand plan of theirs is called the New World Order.

So why are they doing this?

Not an easy question to answer without sounding like a total wacko. But here goes……

The Elite have a strange religion. An ancient religion. Some of the Elite themselves are descendants of the rulers of Greece and Rome going back more than 2000 years ago.
Along the way they have accumulated many friends and allies. And these friends and allies also worship the same religion.
Its called a Mystery Religion.
All the monotheistic religions of today contain elements of the old Mystery Religions. The Mysteries, as they are called, came from a number of places but mostly from Greece and Egypt. Other Mysteries also come from India and China. The information contained within the Mysteries is so powerful that those who understood them have kept them secret for as long as they possibly could.

The one event that has bought together all these Elite types of people and has made them work together towards a New World Order was the return of the Knights Templars from Jerusaleum. What ever they came back with, whatever it is they found underneath Solomons Temple gave them extroadinary power when they got back to Europe. For the Catholic Church granted them special clearances for them to do as they pleased.
Anyway that’s a whole other story all together so I’ll cut to the chase.
After the Templars got into some big doo-doo they were pretty much killed off. Those that got away became the Initiators of the form of mystery religion that the Global Elite of today now follow. That religion is called Freemasonry.
The masons will say it is not a religion. The fact of the matter is that it IS a religion and their God is Lucifer.

Now according to freemasonry their job is help correct that which went wrong in the beginning, meaning they want to return mankind to being perfect slaves. And that’s what the whole NWO ideology is about.
Through genetic engineering and eugenics the Global Elite are going to create the New Man for New Age. And therefore create a Utopia. But it wont be a Utopia for me and you, it will be their Utopia and by the time it comes about they will have killed off most of the worlds population. They have to do that according to their own beliefs that when going into a new age nothing of the old age can follow through. That means all of us have to be destroyed. And they have already started doing that. The Elite and their cohorts have put chemicals in our food, in our water, in the air(via chemtrails) and when WW3 happens MANY will die in nuclear explosions.

Theres way too much to go into in a forum post so I’ll just leave it as is by saying this;

Multiculturalism has got nothing to do with the benefit of the people or building a better nation or any of that crap. Its about creating division and to bring about chaos. The Elite want the people in all countries to start fighting each other which is why the Australian government still brings in hordes of muslims even though they cause so much crime and discontent among the general population. That’s the real purpose of multiculturalism.

If you find all of the above hard to believe then I am sorry but the Elite themselves have said what they were planning to do in their own books and memoirs that they have published over the years. I haven’t written this post for the purpose of scaremongering im doing it simply because it has to be done.

You’ve been told.

Default What do you do for a crust?

Living in Sydney means work. That's why everyone is here.
If you have a trade or a skill that is needed you will find yourself highly valued.

And the essence of work in Sydney is to have a long attention span. This is so that you can put in the long hours of study and work necessary to buy property and become financially secure.

I found Melbourne to be more "civilized". Property is cheaper and rents are lower. People seem more friendly. It is harder to make money there although it would be easier to gain skills.

And I like AFL. A game requiring planning, intelligence, skill, training with a strong dash of whatever it takes to deal with an opponent when the umpire's not looking.

Jamaica Mechanic is absolutly right, Sydney is ridicoulosly expensive to live in compared to the rest of the country so if you want to live here thedewd you will really need to work. I suggest you bring your resume because competition for employment is quite high in the corporate sector. If you want easy work, I suggest the building and construction industry, they pay really well and you don't need a degree, also there is a shortage of labour so getting a job is no sweat. Just get a Green Card.
