Hi! I'm new to this forum and new to Australia in general. Me and 2 friends are in the process of planning a 3 week trip to Newcastle, NSW. We're looking into staying at the John Hunter B&B... anyone familiar with it? We'll be renting a car, so can anyone give me some recommendations for night life in the Newcastle or Sydney area? Restaurants? (I'm vegan, so this may be a tough answer).

Thanks so much for any input Been waiting for this trip for years now and finally convinced some girls to join me in the fun.

Sorry, I have never been to Newcastle, but I heard it is a nice place.

Any reason why you chose to visit Newcastle? Most people visiting Australia go to Byron Bay, the Gold Coast etc.
