I'll second that...

My in-laws had a big family get-together on Sunday for the occasion. We all had lunch at a restaurant, then went for a walk and met up at their house afterwards.

Just the sort of day that sounds good to me. Not too big, just the family and some catching up over food and drink.

Yes, we had a lovely day. I used to do more or less the same thing with my parents when my father was alive. One occasion that I remember in particular is when we had lunch at the Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant at Gladesville, followed by a walk through the adjoining park.

Everyone should take time out to spend with their parents - they won't always be there with you, and one day all you will have left will be memories....

Wow Father's Day in September? I guess Canadian Fathers are more important because we celebrated Father's Day months ago
