Last night after work, on the way to the station, I saw a Morris Major Elite coming down Pitt Street, heading towards Railway Square. White with red tailfins.

Here's the front and rear views of a Morris Major Elite at an arts, craft and car show we went to a few weeks ago:

Thanks Fran It isnt quite what ive pictured it to be and i dont think ive seen one in real life. I would assume that they are quite rare now??

I have seen a Morris Minor as my Grandad had one in England.

I went to Camperdown today and saw a Porsche 911T (red with a black top) in a back street in Glebe, a small 1960s(?) Bedford truck, a Hillman Super Minx (black with a white roof) and an old motor bike (looked like it would have been 1940s or 50s - don't know what it was but it was probably a Harley Davidson, because it was fairly big and it sounded like one) - all in the traffic on the Parramatta Road.

And speaking of Harley Davidsons, There is a showroom full of them in Camperdown and, towards the rear of the showroom, there were a 1957 Chevrolet van (apparently a pretty rare beast) and a Model A Ford.

Today in Wallsend at Newcastle i saw a very old car and thought of you immediately.

It was in poor condition and i would think was being restored. A ute, very high roof, very boxy car but round and almost flared wheel arches. It was obviously original and ive never seen another car quite like it.

Sadly i didnt have a camera and my phone camera is broken, i think you would have loved it given your passion for old autos.

Im going by there again on Monday and will see if its still there and take a photo.....though this is the first time ive seen it and i pass there often.

I haven't posted anything here for a while, so here's a photo I took of a Morris van in Danks Street Waterloo a few months ago:

WOW, thats am amazing picture and a car i have never seen before.

I have heard of that shop but i wonder how the hell they can get a vehicle of that age, in such great condition....its amazing

Its kind of ugly, but given its age it has an aura of "Class" surrounding it. Thank you for sharing this

It's a funny little thing - it's sort of ugly and cute at the same time....

Here's an old Ford in Petersham:

I thought of you today, Fran. I was up in Gosford and in a tyre dealer that i was delivering to was an old sports car, a LANCIA.

The only ones i have seen called Lancia out here were nothing special, but this one looked like an old square Ferrari and reputedly was worth $60K. I cant confirm or deny that.....its simply what i was told.

It looked sporty and was obviously very old, possibly 1970-1980 so i am going to have to Google up some info about them.
