The forum is just starting and is a little slow to take off. If you have any ideas to promote it to more people, please let me know...

Unhappy

well, it'll probably end up full of Nigels going "hot stud looking for good times with models...must have own car"

Or "my name is Nigel how I find friends in Sydney"

But maybe if you hang a giant banner off Harbour Bridge or something...

I don't know if there really is an effective way to promote a site like this - perhaps you have to just wait for more people to find it. After all, I didn't know about it until this morning......

Yes, well, it is rather slow at the moment - I'm waiting for someone else to post something.......

Franfran, thanks for joining the forum. One of my goals for this year is to spend some more time trying to promote it. The problem with starting a forum, is that people don't want to join a post to a forum that is not busy.

Yes, I know what you mean. It's a shame, because the forum does have potential and, as far as I can see, it's the only Sydney based forum of its type. Hopefully it's just a matter of time until more people find it. There are similar forums for Melbourne and Brisbane and they have attracted a fair bit of activity, but then they've been around for a bit longer - 2006 in the case of the Melbourne one Melbourne Chat Australia and 2004 for the Brisbane one Brisbane General Chat
