Should I came to Australia in Feb. just for the Soundwave Festival?

I'm from New York but I have family in Sydney. I'd never been to AU so I planned to visit my gran in June/ July(so I don't have to go to school). But I just found out this music festival and 2 of my fav band Paramore and My Chemical Romance r in. BTW, the festival is in Feb.
So should I visit Sydney for the festival instead of June?
Is the festival worth to go to???
It depends on whether you like the cold weather. Feb is still quite hot here and more people are out and about. June/July is winter although Sydney doesn't get very cold. Not like NY. If you like beaches than come in Feb. Also, google what's on in sydney and you get a calendar of events. Hope that helps.
