Cargo Bar is always a good choice. I'm loving lowenbrau at the moment. It's a great place if you love beer. Also i would recommend going to TrueLocal - Search Australia's fastest growing business directory They have reviews on clubs, restaurants and, well, everything.

I like to go to Rooty Hill RSL -

Rooty Hill RSL Club, Sydney - Health Club, Function Rooms, Live Music

It's out of the city but there are lots of people, resterauts, spas etc.

There are 4 restaurants and the prices of the drinks vary (as do the crowds for the resteraunts).

The other (German themed) bar I like is Una's, and these are scattered throughout Sydney.

i just realised that true local are raising money for every review posted, so it's a worthy cause to get behind.

Sounds like a very unusual atm. Which bank operates it?
