Hi! I'm new to this forum and new to Australia in general. Me and 2 friends are in the process of planning a 3 week trip to Newcastle, NSW.

Wondering if anyone knows any good (semi-cheap) places to stay in the heart of Newcastle Beach area. Also, what's the night life like? Bars? Clubs? Restaurants?

Thanks so much for ANY input Been waiting for this trip for years now and finally convinced some girls to join me in the fun.
