If you are in new town, try the Newtown thai restaurants. There are three of them along King st.
We often eat Pad See Eew at Newtown Thai 2, it is the one closer to the uni near City Road.

Also there is a good Vietnamese restaurant called thanh binh.

Honestly anywhere is good on King st.
